Many of us have the same problems in our public schools: classrooms with many students, many of them are rebel and disengaged. We always have the bureaucratic part (four or five different ways to test our students, correct this, catch up on grades and so on ....) of our work . Besides , two classes aren't enough to develop speaking activities
I was wondering: why not make students work in smaller groups? In this case, the teacher wouldn't have a central role, but that of a monitor.
ReplyDeletedo you think this a good idea?
I think this idea is good but in our schools usually don`t have places, materials, copies for use with our students, then we are going to try others ways for make a class better, as divide in groups the classroom, take less copies of the books, turn fun the class with others methods because the only stimulus that we have is the pleasure for teach.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it isn't a good idea when we teach English to forty children who are eleven years old because they're very unquiet. Sometimes when you are trying to help a group, other students are stand up, talking about other themes and so on. But I like to make my students work in pairs which allows students help each other, practice English and learn. And another advantage it's quieter when they're doing their activities.
